Paradise Girl by effenndee Paradise Girl by effenndee
I created this as a submission for a job application. Its prerequisites were to have a 5:3 ratio sized image called "Paradise" and themed tropical including a woman and as realistic as possible and completed entirely with vectors. Its purpose would be to fit in the belly panel of a pokie/slot machine. My first go at a complete realistic-ish image in vector - it's been another learning experience and a half!

Oh you better have gotten the job. This is on par with people who have been doing vectors most their lives.

Thanks Zombie! They are tedious but it kinda makes it more rewarding once you've finished haha.

Do you think I have improved since the manga workshop, it was a very long time ago now!!
I have been practicing my ass off!!

Thanks Maddeh XD You have improved since the shop and I'm really glad to see it! It's great that you're working so hard too - like drawing those hands over and over. I never did that kind of practice when I was younger and wish I had so keep it up, it will pay off. Do you feel like you've improved?

It's really important to believe in your abilities no matter what anyone tells you = ) If you rely on positive feedback from people too much, when it comes to later in life if you're pursuing a career in drawing, you may find yourself put down when the most people can say about your work is criticize it down. So from as early as possible learn to look at and judge how you have progressed and use that as a base for your growth rather than what others say ^_^ My nugget of advise for today ; )
